Blue vs. Green Light

Blue:
Many flying insects, particularly flies, moths, and mosquitoes, are naturally attracted to UV light. Blue light is highly effective at attracting a wide variety of flying insects and drawing them towards the insect killer.

Green:
Studies indicate that certain fly species, including house flies and blowflies, can respond even more strongly to green light than to blue light alone. Green light creates a visual contrast that can be particularly attractive to flies.

Green light can therefore be more effective against daytime-active flies. It also produces a less intense visual effect than bright blue light, which can make it a more comfortable choice in areas where people or animals are present.
