Beris Weymouth Tongue Port Iron. A true metal copy of our proven beris Tongue Port. The Tongue Port Bit gives the horses‘ tongue enough room because of the flattened area on the port. Many horses react to this with more relaxation and chewing. Therefore this bit is perfect for horses that won’t tolerate pressure on the tongue and for those who tend to stick their tongue above the bit. Mouthpiece thickness 16mm, it is thinner on the middle 12mm. Height of the Tongue Port 30 mm.

Beris Iron bits are made exclusively of high quality stainless steel. The surface of a Beris Iron bit is extremely smooth and slides very gentle in the horse´s mouth. Mouthpiece and cheeks of a Beris Iron bit are linked elegantly in a eggbutt shaped socket. Precisely fitted loose rings slide without resistance in the sockets. For adjusting other sides to the mouthpiece we integrated the eggbutt shaped socket in a carefully designed transition. Pinching the lips becomes impossible!

The profile of the the Beris Iron series are ovaly shaped to occupy only the really needed space in the horse´s mouth. Additionally the mouthpiece lies broadly on jaws and tongue to distribute the pressure. To achieve the broad based contact between bit and mouth we installed the socket slightly rotated. 

CHEEKPIECE – Weymouth - Elegant design combined with highest comfort for the horse‘s sensitive mouth. Combined with either short (5 cm) or long (7,5 cm) shanks the bits are perfectly adjustable to anyone‘s needs. From the overly sensitive horse to one that needs a stronger contact. The mouth piece is generally well accepted, no matter which degree of hardness is used. Promotes chewing activity.

Correct position
The bit is correctly positioned with engraving visible on the left side of the horse´s mouth. Beris brand name is stamped on the left hand side of the cheekpiece.
