Bi-PILL Calf Bicarbonate booster, 20 pcs. Calves' appetite decreases during diarrhea because they suffer from excessive acidity of body fluids. During diarrhea, the calf not only loses fluids but also buffer substances that take care of the body's acid-base balance. Acidification of the body weakens the calf's sucking reflex. Bi-PILL is the first bicarbonate pill that balances the acid-base balance in the blood and thus prevents excessive acidification of the body. When the body's pH levels out, the calf's sucking reflex is restored. As soon as you notice the first symptoms of diarrhea, or the calf is otherwise undersized, give one Bi-PILL immediately. Bi-PILL falls into the rumen and does not interfere with the flow of milk in the rumen. It buffers the body against acidification and promotes the calf's appetite. In mother cow herds, four Bi-PILL pills are given as a single dose. Bi-PILL consists of sodium bicarbonate, which is an effective buffering agent.
