Bombers 2½ -ring Miia Elliptical Cable. The Elliptical Cable applies pressure on the tongue to bring the head down.  The Elliptical applies sharper pressure than the control plate, due to a smaller surface area. The innovation of a cable negates the need for the center joining links of the standard 3 piece bit, further reducing pressure points.  The cable offers an interesting behavior of “spring-back”, which actively returns the bit to neutral. All these features make for a more comfortable bit than conventional Ellipticals. Bomber recommends this when the horse is operating well with a 3 piece bit as this option further reduces pressure points of the links and offers quick release due to the spring back action.

CABLE: Removes the centre links, creating a smooth more comfortable mouthpiece with some rigidity which limits the nutcracker effect. There is some spring back which offers quick release from pressure. The cable allows for some lateral independence between each rein.  

CHEEKPIECE - 2½ -ring Miia – Bridle’s cheekpiece attachment on bit to top side small ring. A ring cheek piece introduces poll pressure as well as creating leverage on the mouthpiece, the 2½-Ring Miia version is the softest as well as stable out of the normal 2½ ring alternatives as the special designed top side ring make it’s softens the leverage on the mouthpiece and poll. The new 2½ -ring Miia cheekpiece was designed by Miia Lahti / Kotielaintarvike.fi. Our close development and cooperation with Bombers has produced many new and innovative bits.  

Reins can be use two ways;

Bigger ring = very low poll and stable
Lower side small ring = low poll and soft cheek pressure. This raises up mouthpiece little bit in the horse’s mouth. 

Recommended as an alternative to the conventional normal 2½ -ring bit. As the bridle’s cheekpiece attachment way lessens the leverage on the poll and mouthpiece. 

Patented Bit
The Bomber Cable bit’s are patented, patent number 2015/07341. The Cable tubing is manufactured from clear virgin flexible PVC compounent. It is heavy metal free meaning non-toxic and the pigment is FDA approved. Bombers Cable Bit does not withstand biting. Maximum weight rating of 90kg.

BOMBERS SWEET IRON

Sweet Iron used in the manufacture of mouth pieces will oxidize when it comes into contact with moisture; this oxidation process encourages salivation which improves acceptance of the bit. This process changes the blue colour of the Bomber horse bit to a brownish grey. If not used for a while, any build- up may be removed with a scourer and wiped with a damp cloth.

A Bombers horse bit is entirely handcrafted, it takes about 1-2 weeks to make one bomber bit. All the component parts are welded, formed and ground by hand. The sweet iron after treatment, gives off a striking and attractive deep blue tint. The finishing touch: the size and brand name are stamped on the left-hand side of the horse bit.

The Bombers Lifetime Guarantee covers all stainless steel, sweet iron and brass products from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Bombers will repair or replace at its discretion any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. The Bombers Lifetime Guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care or cleaning, non-standard usage, negligence or unauthorised alterations. Bomber lifetime guarantee does also not cover some mouthpieces which can be chewed, those are for example; Cable, Leather, Flexible tubing and bomber blue. Those mouthpieces are not suitable for horses that chew.
