Bombers Drop Cheek Elliptical Dressage. The Elliptical Dressage is shorter, increasing tongue and bar pressure. The mouth pieces are curved Comfy to soften the bar pressure. The mouth pieces and lozenge are ground flat to distribute the pressure evenly over tongue and bars, which together with the offset links further reduce pressure points. Allowing for a more accepted contact, relaxing and extending the nose slightly. Available in a wider elliptical, the Elliptical Dressage Control. Bomber recommends this for schooling and competition work, this offers more relief from bar pressure and will lower the head.

2 BREAK: Double break bits have a middle component that sits on the tongue. Some extent of pinch will occur. Made of 3 components. 

CHEEKPIECE - Drop Cheek - The Drop Cheek has an Eggbutt like ring at the mouthpiece for the rein, with an upper cheek that has a ring at its end, to which the cheek piece of the bridle is attached. The mouthpiece does not slide on its ring resulting in light poll pressure. The cheekpieces lie flat against the horse’s face, and the mouthpiece is quite fixed in the mouth and concentrates pressure on the bars. Traditional fixed cheek with no pinching, Bomber recommends this for young riders. The cheekpiece is available in 2 sizes, standard (width 55mm, height 100mm, purchase 40mm) and a slightly smaller model for a pony (width 45mm, height 82mm, purchase 33mm).

- Thickness 10mm (B10) Width 90-115mm
- Thickness 12mm (B12) Width 120-130mm
- Thickness 14mm (B14) Width 135-145mm
- Thickness 16mm (B16) Width 150-160mm

- the length of the middle piece is 30mm to the bit lengths 90-115mm and 40mm to the bit lengths 120-160mm.

BOMBERS SWEET IRON

Sweet Iron used in the manufacture of mouth pieces will oxidize when it comes into contact with moisture; this oxidation process encourages salivation which improves acceptance of the bit. This process changes the blue colour of the Bomber horse bit to a brownish grey. If not used for a while, any build- up may be removed with a scourer and wiped with a damp cloth.

A Bombers horse bit is entirely handcrafted, it takes about 1-2 weeks to make one bomber bit. All the component parts are welded, formed and ground by hand. The sweet iron after treatment, gives off a striking and attractive deep blue tint. The finishing touch: the size and brand name are stamped on the left-hand side of the horse bit.

The Bombers Lifetime Guarantee covers all stainless steel, sweet iron and brass products from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Bombers will repair or replace at its discretion any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. The Bombers Lifetime Guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care or cleaning, non-standard usage, negligence or unauthorised alterations. Bomber lifetime guarantee does also not cover some mouthpieces which can be chewed, those are for example; Cable, Leather, Flexible tubing and bomber blue. Those mouthpieces are not suitable for horses that chew.
