FinnCow Calcium Paste for Cows

FinnCow Calcium Paste for Cows. Supplementary feed for cows to reduce the risk of milk fever. Give Calcium Paste at calving cows at risk of hypocalcaemia. Dosing temperature + 20 + 30 degrees Celsius. Warm the cold tube in a hot water bath.

Dosage:
Adult cows:
Method 1. Two-tube method: administer one tube at the start of calving, or immediately after calving, and the second tube approximately 12 hours after the first. Continue dosing for two days, if necessary.
Method 2: Four-tube method: administer one tube 24 hours before estimated calving. Continue dosing every 12 hours and for 2 days if necessary.

Consult your veterinarian if necessary.

Instructions for use:
1. Insert the tube into the dispensing syringe.
2. Cut off the tip of the tube and screw the plastic extension firmly into place.
3. Hold the corner of the animal's mouth with your free hand.
4. Place the tube into the mouth, over the tongue and down the pharynx, so that the handle of the syringe is in line with the incisors.
5. Pump the tube empty as the animal swallows*.
6. Wash the syringe after use.

*Only to be given to animals with a normal swallowing reflex.

One tube contains 55 g of calcium (Ca), of which 40 g of calcium chloride.

NOTE! Cow's Calcium Paste should be stored and used at +20°C, or warmer.
Calcium paste contains 36.9% of calcium chloride, which is efficiently and rapidly absorbed. Therefore, the product should be stored and used at +20 degrees Celsius, or warmer. If the product is cold when used, it should be thoroughly heated either in a hot water bath, or in a microwave oven to above +20 degrees Celsius. When the product is warm, it becomes pliable and easy to dispense.

The high calcium chloride content of Cow's Calcium Paste makes it the strongest calcium paste on the market for use in cows at risk of milk fever.

Also for sheep and goats:
To treat calcium deficiency 1/6 tube two times a day.
