CHEEKPIECE - Eggbutt 2½ -Ring - The Eggbutt cheekpiece prevents pinching of the lips and gives a solid feel against the side of the face. It also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower than the loose ring (2½ -ring) and also introduces light poll pressure. A ring cheekpiece introduces poll pressure as well as creating leverage on the mouthpiece. A backstrap in recommended. The cheekpiece is available in standard size (width 78mm, height 130mm).
Reins can be use two ways;
Bigger ring = reduce poll pressure softening the mouthpiece leverage.
Lower side small ring = increases poll pressure leveraging the mouthpiece.
