Fill the water tank upside down, e.g. under a tap. Put the base plate in place and turn the dispenser 'upside down'. The dispenser should be placed on a flat surface so that the water can fill the drinking trough evenly. When the drinker is tilted, the water gradually drains to the ground. There is a hole for a hanging hook on top of the water container, so that the dispenser can be hung at a suitable height if desired.
Cleaning:
Change the water often enough so that the birds always have access to fresh and clean water. Wash the drinker regularly and thoroughly. Good hygiene keeps the birds healthy.
