Olli Digitester+. Fence tester with a digital display that clearly shows the fence voltage (kV) in numbers.
- The meter has a 190cm grounding wire.
- When it is time to change the battery, the meter will show 88.
- 9 V battery included in the package.
- Testing the fence: Disconnect the fence from the fence and grounding. Connect the power to the fence. Measure the voltage between the fence's shock pole and the grounding pole. The tester's measuring sensor goes to the fence's shock pole and the grounding rod to the grounding pole. If the voltage is close to the manufacturer's stated "maximum voltage, Umax", the fence is OK.
- Measuring the fence voltage: Push the grounding rod into the ground. Touch the tester's measuring sensor to the fence. The meter shows the fence voltage in kilovolts (for example 4.0 kV = 4000 V). Test each layer of fence wire separately. In the winter strip, test the voltage between the shock and ground wire bundles.
