• They feed on the chickens' blood and then return to their hiding places.
• These nightly infestations can be serious for chickens and may lead to problems such as anaemia and reduced egg production.

• The perches are mounted using long brackets, with rotating mite traps installed underneath them. The traps are filled approximately 3/4 full with vegetable oil, such as olive or sunflower oil. The rotating design helps prevent dirt from entering the traps.
