Charles Owen Riding Helmet YR8 Micromocka. A high-quality, safe and stylish Micromocka riding helmet designed especially for young riders.

  • The Charles Owen YR8 helmet has a low-profile design and four ventilation openings to improve comfort.
  • The outer shell is made from stylish and easy-care Micromocka.
  • Beneath the helmet’s extremely hard outer shell is a unique safety liner made from high-quality polystyrene containing microscopic air bubbles.
  • In the event of an impact, the air bubbles burst, helping to absorb the force of the impact and reduce the risk of injury to the head.
  • During an impact, the helmet’s safety liner helps to stop or slow down the movement and the so-called rebound movement, which is often a major cause of brain injuries.
  • The helmet features soft, adjustable straps and an easy-to-use plastic quick-release buckle.
  • The helmet liner contains silver thread, which gives the helmet antibacterial properties.
  • The helmet is easy to clean with Charles Owen’s own helmet cleaning products.
  • The helmet comes with an SOS card where you can write down the young rider’s most important information.
  • Charles Owen helmets are made in England.
  • The helmet meets the following safety standards: VG1 01.040 2014-12, Kitemarked to PAS015:2011.

Measure your head circumference with a soft measuring tape at the widest point of your head (see the measurement guide in the image). For example, helmet size 55 corresponds to a head circumference of 55 cm. The helmet liner compresses slightly with use, so the helmet should fit as snugly as possible when new. The best way to find the right helmet is to try different helmet models and sizes in-store with the assistance of an experienced salesperson. Also watch the fitting video for guidance on choosing the correct helmet size, how to position the helmet correctly on your head and what else to consider when choosing a helmet.

For safety reasons, a damaged helmet should always be replaced, as a damaged helmet may no longer provide the best possible protection for the rider. Damage to the helmet’s safety liner cannot necessarily be detected from either the inside or outside of the helmet. Even an undamaged helmet has an approximate service life of 5 years. A properly fitted, high-quality safety helmet can provide essential protection in the event of an accident.
