Bombers Full Cheek Dressage Control

Bombers Full Cheek Dressage Control. The Dressage Control Plate is set at 45° to follow the contour of the horses tongue. The plate sits flat on the tongue offering a kind pressure which will bring the head in. The Dressage Control plate is narrower than the conventional Control Plate and therefore applies more tongue pressure. The narrow plate compiles with some dressage association rules.

Bomber Dressage Control belongs to the category four at the Bombers bit category; 2 Break 

2 BREAK: Double break bits have a middle component that sits on the tongue. Some extent of pinch will occur. Made of 3 components. 

CHEEKPIECE - Full Cheek - The Full Cheek cheekpiece will prevent pinching on the sides of the mouth, and the extended pins above and below the bit, firstly prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth and secondly aid guiding the horse’s head which is great for schooling purposes. As with the Eggbutt, the release is slower than the loose ring and also introduces light poll pressure. Bomber would recommend this fixed cheek for schooling and for those horses that drift. The cheekpiece is available in 2 sizes, standard (width 60mm, height 160mm) and a slightly smaller model for a pony (width 45mm, height 120mm). 

With the Full Cheek cheekpiece, it is recommended to use upper shank stoppers / mounting loops to better hold the shanks in place and in the "correct" position. Learn more here! 

Bombers suggested thickness for each width:
- Thickness 10mm (B10) Width 90-115mm
- Thickness 12mm (B12) Width 120-130mm
- Thickness 14mm (B14) Width 135-145mm
- Thickness 16mm (B16) Width 150-160mm

- the length of the middle piece is 35mm to the bit lengths 90-115mm and 45mm to the bit lengths 120-160mm.

BOMBERS SWEET IRON

Sweet Iron used in the manufacture of mouth pieces will oxidize when it comes into contact with moisture; this oxidation process encourages salivation which improves acceptance of the bit. This process changes the blue colour of the Bomber horse bit to a brownish grey. If not used for a while, any build- up may be removed with a scourer and wiped with a damp cloth.

A Bombers horse bit is entirely handcrafted, it takes about 1-2 weeks to make one bomber bit. All the component parts are welded, formed and ground by hand. The sweet iron after treatment, gives off a striking and attractive deep blue tint. The finishing touch: the size and brand name are stamped on the left-hand side of the horse bit.

The Bombers Lifetime Guarantee covers all stainless steel, sweet iron and brass products from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Bombers will repair or replace at its discretion any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. The Bombers Lifetime Guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care or cleaning, non-standard usage, negligence or unauthorised alterations. Bomber lifetime guarantee does also not cover some mouthpieces which can be chewed, those are for example; Cable, Leather, Flexible tubing and bomber blue. Those mouthpieces are not suitable for horses that chew.
