1. The hoof measurement helps to determine the correct angle between the antura (base of the hoof) and the front hoof wall, with an acceptable range of 45-50 degrees. Claw check angle is 50 degrees.
2. The Claw Check gauge is used to measure the length of the front wall from the carcass line to the correct length.
3. Balance. The Claw Check makes it easy to determine the difference in height between the inner and outer hoof to ensure that the weight is distributed as evenly as possible over the hoof.
4. weight distribution.Correct contact of the claw with the ground. The use of grinders often results in a roofed hoof profile. Test by Claw Check that the entire probe takes the same amount of weight to the ground.
5. Toe angle. The V-shaped gap defines the part of the hoof base where there should be a 5mm gap to the floor.
